Research is based on a review of hyperthyroidism cases found at the CMD. Whereas previously published series consisted of 2-3 patients only, ours comprises more than 10 cases of hyperthyroidism, an exceptional figure in DS. CMD case histories are a constant object of clinical research due to their scientific interest. The authors intend to publish their study findings and discuss the impact of this condition on its bearers in a specialized journal.
