The project is currently at the information-gathering stage, looking at the association between epilepsy (especially spasms) and DS and how it impacts development. It will include cases managed at the CMD and/or at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, sometimes jointly. Some of our patients have failed to develop as expected; as a result, last year we undertook to update the treatment protocol for cases involving spasms or West syndrome.
